| mjdart's Full Review: VisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4600, (128 MB) AGP Vid... |
I just replaced my nVIDIA GeForce 3 Ti200 with a spanking new Visiontek Xtasy Ti4600. I have a new Dell 8200 and it fit in my AGP slot without a hitch. Now my power supply is only rated at 250 Watts so I am counting on Dell being a bit conservative with their ratings and so far everything is fine. The card comes with a heatsink fan combo on the processor but the memory chips have no passive cooling. Performance, yes this card performs, my 3DMark2001 score jumped from 6386 to 8724. I am able to run the popular game Return to Castle Wolfenstein at 1600 x 1200 32 bits with all effects maxed out. Now I have a P4 1.8Ghz processor in my Dell but I'm sure most newer systems will see huge improvements in performance. I highly recommend nVIDIA's flagship to those wanting the best and fastest product available to pump pixels to their display monitor.
