| kwsbanker's Full Review: Visioneer OneTouch 8920 Flatbed Scanner |
The Visioneer Scanner 8920 is a terrific scanner. I actually just hooked it up in less than 10 minutes, and scanned a photo in less than 30 seconds. The instructions are simple and accurate, the machine is one of the newest, so it is compatible with Windows XP as well as the other operating systems (I use XP, and there are NO problems).
This machine also has the added bonus of being able to scan negatives and slides - which the 8900 does NOT have. For the few extra bucks (really, it's only about $10-20 more), the added benefit of the slide/negative scanning is well worth it.
The photographic resolution is crisp and colors are bright and accurate. The software also includes Adobe Photoshop Elements, which will help the novice make adjustments to your scanned photo.
Text is scanned well - and the machine also has the capability of copying, faxing and emailing directly from the easy to read and easy to use button keyboard. USB connectivity makes it a snap.
This is well worth the purchase - I purchased it on Ebay for $89.00!!
Good luck scanning all. This ones a winner!
