Pros: A great natural acne cure without the horrible side effects.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: I HIGHLY recommend trying this out as an alternative to liver destroying drugs! It's probably more effective, and definitely cheaper.

| mrcgiguy's Full Review: Vitamin B-5 (Pantothenic Acid) |
Thank GOD for B5 and for the internet! I suffered for about 10 years with cystic acne and was taking anti-biotics for 6 of those years, tried various drugs off and on and tried every topical treatment available. Antibiotics helped somewhat, but slowly but surely the effects decreased. I found out about B5 on some health message boards just in time. I've been taking 8grams of B5 for the last 2 years now and I can't say enough good things about it! I still have occasional flare-ups (most likely stress induced), but nothing really bad. Nothing even close to what I used to have to put up with.
I really highly recommend trying pantothenic acid before antibiotics or harsh drugs such as Accutane. I can only guess that this is still the best kept acne fighting secret because doctors don't get kick backs from drug companies for recommending it.
I'd been using GNC's B5 most of the time, but I think the additives in it may be resulting in sensitive skin...though it could just be a result of my skin being much more dry. I'm trying out Twin Labs now, and it seems like the problem has decreased. Regardless, I'm willing to put up with somewhat sensitive skin to get rid of the acne.
I started taking 10grams and reduced to 8grams over the first few months. I seem to be able to reduce more and more over time. I hear of people taking as much as 20grams a day, but that seems a bit high. I think around 10grams is probably enough to handle really bad acne like I had. It really did do an amazing job. You know it's working when people start asking what you've done to get such clear skin! That's a questions I never heard when I was on antibiotics! This is truely Gods give to the acne sufferer! :)
