Pros: All the features I need in one camera.
Cons: It's brand is not as popular as Canon or Minolta.
The Bottom Line: Great features for the price. The rechargeable battery alone will save you a lot.

| marief2rnurse's Full Review: Vivitar ViviCam 5340s Digital Camera |
My mom bought this camera from QVC and gave it to me as a gift. At first, I wasn't impressed because of the brand but I remember having an old Vivitar camera in the 1980's so I thought maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I believe she paid almost $200 for this more than a year ago. It's a 5 mega pixel digital camera. With a 1.9 TFT display and a 3x optical zoom. It didn't come with a memory card so I had to buy an SD card. I love my camera because it came with a Lithium Ion Battery pack that is rechargeable, a cord that lets you view pictures on your tv, a battery charger, a usb dock, camera case and a small tripod. I use my camera alot and have used the battery for over a year now and it still works the same as it did when it was new. One full charge will let you use your camera the whole day. It takes great pictures and videos too. You can choose to take pictures and save it as a smaller file and then resize it later for good printing quality. I can take over 1,000 photos with my 256mb SD card. This camera seem to have everything I can ask for in a digital camera. It also has a 10 second timer and a macro setting. Having used this over a year, I still haven't mastered all the settings and am not a good photographer of night scenes. I just hope it lasts a lifetime because of it's sentimental value.
