| fudge23's Full Review: Vizio L32 32 in. HDTV TV |
Our old Panasonic television died after 11 years. I was secrely happy when it did, which meant we could get a new set!
We are members of COSTCO. We were checking out their television department and noticed this model. I had not heard of VIZIO before and was skeptical. However, it had the features we wanted and the price was definitely right at $689.
I liked that it was very lightweight and I could literally put it my basket and check out. This was a welcome surprise because many of the other 32 inch televisions we considered were very very heavy (weighing in at 200 pounds) and required several men to move and install. It is 9 inches depth wise and fit easily in our television cabinet. In fact, we had room left over from our old television.
The install was a breeze and was only ten minutes, and required a Phillips screw driver to attach the stand to the television. We plugged it up, connected our cable. There are a multitude of plug up options on the right front of the screen. I would use them if we wanted to view our pictures or video from our digital camera. We connected out channels via the scan option and it took 5 minutes to pull up or channels. My little boy approves of the DVD picture quality as well.
The picture quality is very very sharp and was in fact shocking in comparison to our old 27" television. The color quality is vivid and well defined. For shows that are broadcast in HDTV the picture quality is incredibly vivid. There are options to tweak the color and brightness to your personal needs. The pixel quality is 1080 which gives a very clear picture.
The 32 inch screen is perfect for our smallish house. Any size larger would be too large and watching it would have been uncomfortable. The TX comes with a remote with batteries already installed. It's a simple remote and is intuitive.
The sound quality is adequate with 2 speakers. I was hesitant at first, but figured if we did not like it, we could return at COSTCO. So far, I am thrilled with this purchase and add VIZIO to my list of preferred electronics.
The only negative I have experienced is that there seems to be a delay when turning on the TV and when changing channels. The delay is only 3 seconds but it is noticeable.
This was the perfect choice for my family.
