I bought the tv less than a year ago and it has already died. I always save the box for big ticket items but didn't for this one (kick self). Vizio had to mail an empty box and that took 2 weeks 5 days to arrive.

The same day the box arrived I went to UPS to ship the bad one back. The "recertified" replacement arrived over a month after my initial call to Vizio.
Any company can produce a defective product occassionally. It is how a they handle the problem that separates the great companies from the fair ones. It was 4 lies by 4 CSR's that really turned me off on the company.
Not knowing too much about Vizio (except what I found on-line) when I bought the set, I got it from a major retailer thinking they might back up what they sell if there was a problem. The store didn't. I say if you must buy a Vizio, skip the retailer and get it from the cheapest source.
