Bought this to save time painting. First use leaked about as much as it sprayed. Tried again by thinning paint slightly-worked fairly well; spit some. Was usable. Third time same procedure as second time. The thing spit, spattered and leaked so badly we ended up with a paint job that looked like we had spackled the wall. Not to mention getting the hose to stay in a gallon paint can without kinking and spray at the same time takes three people. One to spray, one to hold the hose and one to brush out the splatters. Tried changing swirl valve, paint thickness, flow amount all to no avail. We very meticulously cleaned every part after using it thinking this would help. All it did was add time (approx. 30 min.).This unit is very unpredictable and gives you a lousy paint job. We would not recommended it unless you don't care about the quality of the paint job. We are totally unsatisfied with this product even though it was highly recommended by a Lowe's employee. We were looking forward to being able to finish our painting project rather quickly. That didn't happen, not only is our project time lengthened, but we are finishing the job with a brush and roller! Would have saved time and frustration if we had of just stayed with the tried and true method of rolling and brushing.
