I had to monitor my blood pressure for the last ten years. I had a Walgreens blood pressure monitor for years and it finally quit working. I decided since the one I had was about 10 years old I would try and find another wrist one. I bought my new monitor from Walgreens and it cost about $49.00. I can't remember what the first one cost, but I know it was not made in China. I bought a monitor that went around my arm above my elbow, and brought it back. It never fit my arm right and the cuff was hard to put on. I knew I would becoming home with another wrist one because it is so much easier to use.

The Monitor comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The warranty states the materials and workman ship are covered for as long as you own the unit to be free from defects. However, the monitor cuff is under warranty for one year. The monitor would be useless without the cuff. I always hate these limited lifetime warranties. The toll free customer service number is 1-800-643-4350. The product is distributed for Walgreens and made in China. I hate where it was made.
What I really like about the Walgreens Automatic Monitor
1. The monitor is very easy to use. To get started all I have to do is open the box, put the batteries in the back of the monitor. The monitor takes 2 AAA batteries. Then I wrap the wrist band on and stop at the velcro when I feel the band is tight enough. The wrist band is very easy to use. The cuff should be directly against the skin. The wrist cuff should never be placed over clothing.
2. The monitor is very easy to read. The numbers are big enough that I can read them with out my glasses. I press start and the monitor is ready to use.
3. It has a 60 memory storage. I don't have to write down my numbers, I need these to take to the doctor, so this is very convenient.
4. I can take this back to Walgreens and have the monitor calibrated if it is not getting the same numbers as my doctor. I brought the monitor to my doctors appointment and found it to be very accurate.
The monitor has 3 displays on the right side of the monitor. The first is MEM, which automatically will average the last three readings. The second display is the simple START/Stop one touch operation. The third is Set which is used for easy setup. The left side of the monitor has the letters SYS (systolic blood pressure)and under those letters are the DIA (diastolic blood pressure). Written under the DIA is the word PULSE. The pulse is recorded with each blood pressure reading. The Walgreens Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor, comes with a very durable case. The monitor fits neatly in the storage case which helps to keep dust off the monitor. The storage case is made of hard plastic. A complete instruction book comes with the monitor. It explains how the monitor works.
The monitor has a Low Battery Indicator that will appear on the display screen. It is recommend to use alkaline batteries. Also what ever measurements are stored in the memory will not be deleted when changing the batteries. However, after replacing the batteries I do have to reset the time and date.
There is a large 2 inch long arrow that points to the palm of my hand. If the black arrow is not pointing to my palm then I know the wrist band is on wrong. The gray wrist band is about 2 1/2 inches wide. This makes it not awkward at all. The arm one was about 41/2 inches for use around the arm. The wrist one is just so much quicker and easier.
Overall, I would recommend the Walgreens Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. The monitor is easy to use, accurate, and good quality. Thank you for reading my review.
