Cons:Difficult to clean

I owned another brand  slicer for 15 years with the only issue was sharpening the blade till a replacement blade could not be found. Bought a Waring FS150 at Costco for about $50. After 3 cycles of cutting roasts the internal gear stripped out. (plastic gears, not metal) Rather than taking it back I thought it was manufacturing defect and bought a replacement gear, $25. This gear lasted 2 roast cycles. It appears others have faced this same issue. The only thing to say it is a piece of trash for the landfill. A note to Waring management, I hope the profit margin was worth producing junk. I will never buy another Waring anything again and will be more than happy to convince others to do the same.
