Great product.
If you want charcoal flavor and do not want to wait for it. I've been very impressed with the product.
You do have to put it together, so give yourself an hour and some space to work. I put mine together in the garage. Once together, its a pretty well built machine and design. A previous poster mentioned the lack of handles, and I concur, they would be helpful, but I think most of us don't really plan on moving our grills around so much, so it really does not bother me at all.
I am using the higher grade charcoal, not the stuff you can find at every supermarket on the block. So my start time might be slightly different, but on average its taking about 8-10 minutes for the charcoals to get grey .
You can of course cook with the gas going also with the charcoals, in which case the grill gets insanely hot.
I've used my grill about 15 times in the span of a month, and I don't have any complaints. The grill is the physical size of standard black charcoal grill and not the metallic silver gas behemoths that are typical these days. So if your cooking for an army, in may take awhile just because of the amount of space to actually cook the food on.
There is space beneath to store a bag of charcoal, and an area to hang tools.
Definitely buy a cover, which will be additional, but will be money well spent.
I haven't had any problems with the charcoal ash collector, it might be a little on the small side, but it holds about a full bag of charcoal ash. So really it is not that bad.
