The Bottom Line: I reccemend buying these for kids as it is more than just a stuffed animal.

When my 8 year old daughter told me that her friends had webkinz I had no idea what she was talking about. She showed me her friends webkins dog and I thought Oh what a cute toy. Then we went to a boutique to get one where her friend purchased it and again I thought it was cute. I was told not to throw away the ticket on the stuffed animal and to be honest I just didnt really pay much attention until I was at her friends house and saw what that ticket was all about. I was really shocked and impressed!

When you buy a webkinz you keep the ticket thats attached to it and go on the webkinz website and pick a username and password. Then you enter the number that is on the ticket and then it shows the animal that you purchased. You name it and then you take care of it. It has its own house. There are also things you can "purchase" for the animals" which is bought by playing games to gather points. You have to make sure that you take care of it by feeding it and giving it love and making sure its not sick.

You can also share your webkinz with other by adding them to your list, IM each other and they have recipes and a parent section.

I honestly think its a great idea! It teaches kids to take care of the animals and it really isnt expensive. The regular webkinz are about $12.00 and they also have "Littlelkinz" which are I believe $9.00.
