Webkinz are a popular toy craze for children and adult alike. Years ago it was Beanie Babies from Ty, and now its Webkinz from Ganz. If you are unfamiliar with Webkinz they are a plush toy that comes with a special online code that brings your plush to life in the virtual Webkinz World located at the www.webkinz.com website.

When my now 7 year old son got started with Webkinz, it all started out with the Frog. After that it was all downhill from there as he quickly added up all the different frogs variations that were available. I bought this spotted frog in a "bundle" of frogs online from eBay - they were all "new with unopened tags" which is important if you want to be able to register your Webkinz and adopt it on the Webkinz world. I couldn't find this particular spotted frog in the stores near me, which normally sell Webkinz in the $12.99-$14.99 price range. As it turned out I was able to get a great deal by buying a bundle of Webkinz making them less than $10 a piece!
About the Webkinz Spotted Frog
Having only seen the Spotted Frog online when the stuffed plush came I was really happy with it. This is one of the larger Webkinz plush at around 10" in size. "Spotty" as my son calls this one, is really soft and has a low pile plush. The Spotted Frog is very plump with pale and dark green "leopard" spots all over it and a creme colored belly. True to our other Webkinz it is well-made and also easy to spot clean. Because it is light colored, if it gets played with it does show visible dirt though the spots do camoflauge it a bit.

When we adopted our Spotted Frog on the Webkinz world at www.webkinz.com my son decided that it should be a girl since the Bull Frog is a boy. I'm not sure totally of his reasoning but it does look a bit like a softer and more muted version of the bull frog, so I "get it". You'll be able to decide for yourself if yours is a boy or a girl, give it a name, and make a room for it in your Webkinz home. Once online you can feed your frog, dress it, play games and more. The Spotted Frog online virtual pet is a bit larger than the Frog and next to any lil' kinz icons it appears vehemoth. My kids love how big both the virtual pet and the actual plush are - but absolutely their favorite part about the Spotted Frog is the great big silly smile that it has. The Spotted Frog is a totally fun addition to the Webkinz Frog family.
