I have been using Wei East products for years. Although I am a Philosophy Girl and now like many BeautiControl products, I continue to use my Wei East stash as well. One of my favorite products from the China herbal line is Wei East China Herbal Daily Moisturizer.
This moisturizer is mid weight and lifts the skin while hydrating it. It's great for before makeup because it isn't greasy or too heavy and it has a lovely scent. About the Product

Packaging
This moisturizer underwent a packaging face lift recently. It is now in a plastic jar with a green plastic inner layer (making the jar look larger). It has a clear and green cap as well. The old packaging was just a simple green plastic jar which was fine with me. The product comes in two sizes: 1.75 ounces and 3.5 ounces. The cream is fluffy white, lightweight yet fairly thick (almost whipped), and smells heavenly. It has a fresh, earthy scent that makes it great for both men and women.
My Experience
I have normal to dry skin and I like heavy moisturizers at night. During the day, I use lighter ones especially under my makeup. Wei East China Herbal Daily Moisturizer is prefect for use after washing my face in the morning. I apply a very small amount and it immediately absorbs and leaves my skin soft but never greasy. It tightens my skin so my pores nearly disappear and it leaves my face ready for makeup primer, foundation, or just a dash of blush.
My face doesn't feel dry as the day wears on nor does it feel tight. I have never broken out from this moisturizer and I find it actually makes my skin look better and clearer. I still need a separate eye cream and use Wei East's Eyes Alive or Philosophy's Hope on a Tube.
This cream cam be used at night on those with combination and normal skin but I prefer the thicker stuff as I said. I have used Wei East China Herbal Daily Moisturizer at night in the summer and it was fine. It added hydration and made my face smooth and soft. But in the winter I need more to keep my skin balanced. Wei East China Herbal Daily Moisturizer has Chinese herbs in it that are supposed to revitalize the skin and it has traditional western ingredients that add moisture and firm the skin.
This makes a great daily moisturizer as the name implies. It doesn't have a lot of fancy anti aging ingredients in it but it does have those herbs and roots in it that do wonders for Asian skin.
The drawback is that this moisturizer is pricey when bought alone. However, if bought on the HSN website with other products in a kit, the price goes way down. Also, there are frequent specials on the Wei East website where you can get the product much cheaper than it retails for.

The 1.75 ounce jar of this cream is $36.00 and the 3.5 ounce jar is $72.00. Before you have a heart attack, as I said, HSN has many specials and kits that bring the price way down. The Wei East website also has specials like their great seasonal (four times a year) buy four products for $39.96 promotion. You pick a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and a specialty item, all full sizes, for just $39.96. That is the way to go with Wei Eats products!
Conclusion Wei East China Herbal Daily Moisturizer is a very good day cream and can be used by those who don't need extra heavy moisture at night as well. It is rich and concentrated and a little goes a long way. It's never greasy and it doesn't clog pores. It lifts the skin a bit and tightens pores as it adds needed moisture. It's a heck of a good cream. Then again, all of Wei East's products are very good. You should take advantage of their four product special or buy a kit to get to know these lovely products. 4 stars.
