| ellensidea's Full Review: Weight Watcher's Points Weight Loss Program with F... |
Here's how it works;
You are weighed and depending on your weight and height, your given a number of "points" you can eat.
You are given a book that contains lists of most of the food available in the free world, including fast foods. Each food item is attributed a certain number of points.
You write your points totals down in a book and stop eating when you've reached your points total (that's the idea anyway).
I needed to lose about 10 lbs. The first week I was on the program I was just thrilled because I lost 7, but after that I just sat there, and sat there, and sat there. About 5 weeks later, I started to lose something, but it was my resolve, not the pounds. That I-can-do-it mentality weakened into why-oh-why sobbing in my closet, and after cheating a couple of times (and I mean really only 2 times) I gained everything back. Well, darn it all!
I really got tired of thinking about food all the time. Planning food strategy, counting food points, thinking about food I couldn't eat. . . I felt like I was at war, with myself!
After the weight jumped back on so quickly, I figured this wasn't the program for me.
I'm thinking that I just need to up my exercise and eat smaller portions of what I like, and, God help me, not think about food anymore.
If that doesn't work then I'm just going to fat camp.
