| audio_vault's Full Review: Weight Watcher's Points Weight Loss Program with F... |
I started Weight Watchers my senior year of high school.
I wasn't severely overweight, but I was unhappy with my body and I was at least thirty pounds overweight. I hardly exercised and I ate terrible. My mother did too. My mother joined first and brought home all the materials. She explained to me what happens. You get a certain amount of daily points that you have to stay within, and you also get thirty five bonus points for the week, just in case you want that soda or maybe a dinner out at the end of the week.
So we went on it together. I started a part time job where I walked most of the day and my mother joined the gym. At first it was difficult to cut out all the junk food we both loved. Cheese is my weak point, and still is; my mother has a thing for sweets.
We both lost weight the very first week. It was amazing! I never felt deprived. Unlike other diets where you can't eat certain things, you could have anything you wanted...in moderation. That is the key to a healthy lifestyle and Weight Watchers teaches you that!
When you cut out things, you just crave them and then you'll binge on them because you've been trying to avoid it!! It's a cycle.
I was only allowed 20 points based on my weight. Knowing I only had 20 made me want to pick the healthier thing and save my points fr a coke with dinner or one cookie afterwards. I wanted the vegetables because they were no points and I wanted to exercises because it game me more points to work with! Points are like money, if you exercise and work you get more, if you buy the richest thing you pay more and if you shop (eat) smart you'll pay less and still be full.
By my senior prom I had lost about thirty pounds!! I felt great when I could get into a size 4. My mother lost about thirty pounds as well.
I love Weight Watchers. They gave me the tools and the materials to show me how to eat and love my body!
I don't count points anymore, unless I see I've been gaining a little weight. But that hardly ever happens. I know what foods are healthy and I'm an expert at reading nutrition labels.
If you want a lifestyle change, not a diet, then you're ready for Weight Watchers. It will work if you let it.
