| Magick1's Full Review: Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Creamy Parmesan Chicke... |
Weight Watchers® has some really delicious meals on the market. This product states now there are more select broccoli cuts. I did not have it prior, so I cannot comment whether or not this is a true statement. But, I can say that the selection in this meal was quite good!
This is another quick to prepare meal (in the microwave) taking only 3 ½ to 4 minutes. If you need to prepare this by conventional oven, this needs 35 minutes at 350 degrees. The meal is a wonderfully prepared and the flavor combinations are wonderful together.
The Product
There were about 5 to 6 nice sized pieces of chicken (all white meat) mixed with broccoli, yellow and red peppers in a creamy parmesan sauce. At first I worried that the sauce was going to be runny when I took this out of the microwave, but the sauce firmed up after stirring the contents together. The dishes always seem to be placed on opposite sides without much product touching each other. The sauce is on one side and the chicken and vegetables are on the other with a little meeting in the middle.
The sauce had a nice, mild parmesan flavor that was not overpowering. That is good news because some items I have tried in the past have a very strong parmesan flavor and that can distract from the vegetables in the dish. But, this is not one of those cases! This meal had great flavor with nothing overpowering the other things in the dish!

Overall Impressions
The overall product flavor was very good. The parmesan sauce is not extremely spicy and the broccoli, red and yellow peppers add a nice dimension to the meal. There were not a lot of red and yellow peppers, but there was a decent amount. The broccoli was nice and the cuts were a delicious tender yet crispy doneness! Thats hard to do, even if you steam the broccoli! Somehow, they have this one done perfect!
As I referred to earlier, the sauce seemed a bit runny, initially, but as the meal cooled down, the sauce did thicken up, especially once mixed with all of the chicken and the vegetables. There were roughly 8 10 decent sized pieces of chicken in the meal. I have found that the photo on the cover of the box showing chicken pieces generally matches up pretty closely with the number that is in the meal itself!
This meal is a part of the Bistro Selections of the Weight Watchers® Smart Ones® meals. I seem to find a little better combination of flavors in the Bistro Selections. That could be my imagination playing right into their advertising, but I think it is the differences in the menu options that are present.
The meals again are very reasonably priced. I normally can get a good sale at my local market and purchase these meals for 3 for $5.00. You can also sometimes find coupons for money off at their website www.eatyourbest.com. If you think you might give these a try, look for a coupon and watch for a sale. They seem to have sales around here about every other week on these meals!
If you are looking for delicious ways to eat better and not lose the flavor, you should try this Weight Watchers® Smart Ones® meal. If you are like me and I am sure countless others out there, you will enjoy it!
