| Magick1's Full Review: Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Lasagna Florentine wit... |
I have tried this lasagna before and again today. The overall flavor of the lasagna is very delicious and smooth. I am not a big zucchini person, in that I dont know how to prepare it, but if others do, I am happy to eat it. Spinach, I usually enjoy fresh, but when its cooked, I usually cannot handle the flavor and the texture. But, this product offers both in this hearty, yummy lasagna!
The Product
The cooking time is a bit longer, I think due to the noodles and the stacking of the lasagna. It takes about 4 5 minutes in my work microwave.

Overall Impressions
For a microwavable lasagna, it really is awesome. I enjoy the flavors, it is not too spicy, not too bland, and not overpowering with the spinach or the zucchini. This was a real test for me, since cooked spinach is not a favorite of mine.
Be sure to cook it thoroughly, but not over-done. I usually try 4 minutes, and then pull this out of the microwave, feel the bottom middle of the container. If this is hot, then I pull it. Because, if you do not, the edges (noodles and sauce) get over done and dry out
making that portion of the meal inedible or if you do eat it, very chewy and hard to cut with plastic utensils!
There is not a tremendous amount of cheese, but it does have a nice portion. Again, as mentioned in my prior Weight Watchers Smart One review, I mentioned that if you are looking for good tasting food with lower calories or are watching what you eat, these little meals are convenient and priced right. You can usually find a sale for meals 3 for $5.00 or around $2.89 or so each. Watch for the sales or go online, log into their website, and you can get occasional coupons to reduce the price of the meals.
The carrots in the lasagna are the small toothpick sized carrot shreds and the zucchini are ¼ round sections. There was a nice amount of each in the lasagna without it being too many. They were also crisp, not limp or gooey.
