You have seen other reviews from me of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones discussing the delicious flavors while still getting the decent calorie counts or Weight Watchers Points Value. This product is not much different, as it gives you the delicious flavor of lasagna, the noodles and the cheese without killing your daily food intake. And, it’s filling!

The Product

This is a single serving, microwavable dish of traditional lasagna. I had previously tried the lasagna Florentine and enjoyed it a lot too. But, this one offers more of the noodle and sauce and cheese flavor without the unique kick of the zucchini and spinach!

This has five layers of lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Overall Impressions

This product is a 6 point item on the Weight Watchers system. The calories are not bad. But, sodium watchers…check that out! I don’t know about you, but I think it’s high. The flavor is really good. You only have to microwave this (on a high power microwave like we have at work) for 4 minutes. You might have to microwave it a touch longer if it is very hard frozen. I am usually microwaving this roughly 5 ½ hours after removing from my freezer, storing it in my lunch bag (with ice), so it might be a little bit thawed (but not much). The directions state 4 minutes and then turn it on the microwave tray and do it on medium for another 4 ½ minutes. Mine usually takes nowhere near that long.

Do not overdo it, though, as it will dry out the side noodles and make most of the meal impossible to eat!

The flavor is very good, if you enjoy mild, not too spicy lasagna. It has some spice, but it is not overwhelming. The cheese and the noodles are very much present, and you can see them. They are not hidden in the sauce and you catch only an egg noodle sized piece. There are noodles and cheese in this product!

I enjoy the flavor very much and I feel very full for quite a few hours later. Some of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones meals that are only in the 3 and 4 point category, I find that I am hungry a couple hours later. This one, I do not have that problem. Therefore, if you like a hearty lasagna that is not just a lot of sauce with a hidden noodle or two and a little touch of cheese on top for decoration, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
