Pros: antioxidants, added Vitamin C, no added sugar, no fat or cholesterol
Cons: once opened needs refrigeration
Welch's 100% Grape Juice has been a drink in our household since before I was born. For awhile, now that I'm older, I grew away from drinking it. Then my dentist made a suggestion to improve my dental health. Now my refrigerator is always stocked with a bottle of this Welch's Grape Juice.
This grape juice comes in a plastic bottle that holds 64 fluid ounces of purple grape juice. The bottle is an interesting shape. It is contoured in a funky design that makes it "grip friendly". The bottle is recyclable and embossed with the Welch's name.
The bottle proclaims the following:
* More than twice the antioxidant power of orange juice
* No sugars added, no fat or cholesterol
* An 8 ounce glass contains two fruit servings
* Vitamin C Added
When I was a child, I had no trouble drinking a glass of Welch's grape juice "straight up". However, now I notice the strong flavor. It's too much for me. So I pour a glass and dilute it a bit with some water. On hot days, an ice cube works just as well. This is the only way I can enjoy this grape treat.
My mother insists that Welch's is the best grape juice ever, even if it is now made from concentrate. I agree. Welch's grape juice never disappoints me. It is always a quality product that keeps well and tastes great. Back in the day when Welch's grape juice was not made from concentrate, it had an even stronger flavor and more body. While I would not call the grape juice watery, I can remember when it was more full-bodied and even had some sediment from the grapes used.
During my last dental visit, my dentist suggested that I needed more Vitamin C in my diet. She suggested that I drink orange juice. However my stomach is sensitive to the acidic content in orange juice. I find that drinking Welch's grape juice affords me with a daily allotment of Vitamin C. My stomach is happy with the grape juice, too. Problem solved!
Note: This product is pasteurized, which means it needs to be refrigerated after opening. Welch's recommends using an open bottle within seven to ten days of opening it. One thing I like about the way this container is designed it easily fits into the door of my refrigerator. Being a 64 fluid ounce bottle, it stands tall at 10 1/2".
I'm sure the designers though the funky contouring of the bottle would make for easier gripping. While an adult might be able to lift this bottle using one hand, not everyone will be able to do it. Those with smaller hands will be challenged as will those with hand strength problems. Children will definitely need to use both hands while handling this bottle. The contoured sides, though, will make the bottle stay in their hands easier (less likely to slip).

Our entire family drinks Welch's 100% Grape Juice. It tastes great and is a quality fruit drink. I'm also finding that it is helping my gums stay healthier, which makes both me and my dentist happy!
