Pros:good value for price
Cons:far from the strip
The Bottom Line: Great value for the price for an off-strip hotel- apartment feel for budget motel price.

As a gambler I can't say that I'm a fan of staying in hotels that are off the strip. However if necessary as in cases of emergency the Wellesley is a great fall back hotel.

Perhaps you want to go to Vegas but all of the hotels on the strip are sold out or you accidentally got the date of your flight wrong and no longer have a hotel room, or you want to do an extended trip in Vegas- then the Wellesley is a place you should consider.

LOCATION: The Wellesley is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Sort of in between Hard Rock and Terribles. If you want to visit the strip you're not too far off -you can always cab over for $10.

CHECK-IN: Quick and easy. The staff is courteous.

ROOM: The rooms are less like rooms and more like apartments. The price is quite reasonable (around $60-$70). The rooms are great for the price- comfy bed, couch/sofa bed, TV with cable, kitchen with stove and full size fridge (good for keeping leftovers or storing groceries).

AMENITIES: Pool, shuttle to and from the airport, parking.

FOOD: Sadly no room service for those late night cravings- but hey that's why they give you a kitchen (Albertson's is a few blocks away). There's an Olive Garden right across the street. There are also several other restaurants within a couple of blocks (TGI Fridays, Baja Fresh, Long John Silvers, etc.).

CLUB: The Wellesley also has a frequent guest club- good at all Wellesley and AmeriSuite hotels as well as on frequent flyer miles. So if you travel a lot you get an added bonus.

Regardless of the reason for choosing it, the Wellesley is a good choice if you're looking for an off strip hotel. It is an especially good hotel for those looking for a home away from home feel, families, or business travelers.
