I purchased the Wellness adult health small breed dry dog food after trying the puppy version for our young puppies. I had not seen a food with such small pieces, and having Yorkies , it can be hard to find anything that is easy for them to break down. Most adult dog foods seem to have big balls that my small adult dogs can not wrap their mouths around. They were only $3.99 each, in Petco it would be three times that price, yet still worth it.

There is a feeding guide on the back that you can use. In my case I have multiple dogs, ones that eat more or less than others, so I just feed them in a small double sided dish three times per day. In my situation, where I can't watch them eat every time, it is best for me to feed them this way so I know each one gets enough of the food. This food comes in a few flavors, but the ones we stick to are chicken stew and beef and lamb.

Another great thing about this dog food is that it does not have a foul odor. I hate the scent of most dog foods, it makes me feel sick when I smell over powering odor of dog food. This food smells subtle to me yet enticing to dogs. That is most certainly a plus. Use and recommendation:

At first I had to mix this food in with their old food. That was tough since these are tiny pieces, they kept ending up in the bottom of the dish. But once we fully transitioned it was smooth sailing. This food turned out to be the perfect size for our adult dogs. They have no trouble at all breaking it down and chewing it. With their old food they would gag on it because they would eat fast and choke on the food. This seems to be much easier for them to handle and break down.

The fact that they love the taste of the Wellness adult health small breed dry dog food is a major plus. It makes buying dog food worth while. Honestly I have never seen my adult dogs enjoy a specific food so much. That for me as their owner, is a great thing. It is as important to me that they enjoy what they are eating as it is that they stay healthy. A happy pet is a healthy pet!

Wellness adult health small breed dry dog food is well worth the money. If the discount store I bought this food from stopped carrying this brand, I would go to Petco or some place like that and buy it at full price. My dogs are all thriving on this food, enjoying it and staying healthy while eating it. I honestly see no down side to this dog food. A lot of vets recommend it as well. Mine says it is a great balanced diet for my small breed Yorkie and Yorkie crossed dogs. I highly recommend giving it a try.
