mrs43's Full Review: West Bend 82306 Stir Crazy® Popcorn Maker
I've had the 6qt model for about 10 years and it has worked without problem. I bought it on sale at a Kmart and have never regretted the purchase. Over the years there has been some scratching of the teflon but nothing to put it out of service. Now that there is only myself and my husband to pop corn for, I wish Westbend made a smaller version. Due to the shape of the popper, it takes up a lot of room in my cabinets Also we have an RV, I would love to take the popper along with us but it is just to bulky to store.
Clean up is a breeze with this popper. It's too bad, only the top can be washed in the sink. If you wipe the bottom out with paper towels as soon as it is cool enough to touch, you'll have no problem keeping the bottom ready for it's next use. I caution you, however, to be careful with this product. You could receive a nasty burn. The bottom gets super hot (to be expected). Care must be taken when flipping the unit over after the corn has finished popping.
