Pros: Easy Installation; Good performance.
Cons: Drive Failed after two weeks
The Bottom Line: It failed so I can't recommend it but with the 60$ rebate it seemed like a good deal and still does if it doesn't fail again.

I was very excited to see that this drive had a $60 rebate. ($148 - $60 = $88) I immediately went out and bought one. At 7200 RPM and an 8 mb buffer size this would be a great drive. The drive was a snap to install, nice and easy directions and a decent program to copy one disk to another.
So imagine my surprise when two weeks later I came downstairs to a "click-click" sound. Not Good. The drive had failed :(
Sure drives fail, we have all been there, but when a 100GB drive fails and most of your data is on it (80 Gigs) it hurts, and its not a good hurt.
I haven't even gotten the rebate on it and here I am asking WD for an RMA number. The return RMA process looks pretty straight forward and I will write when I get a new drive I will let you know how long the next drive lasts.
