Pros: PIP with certain firmwares, nice picture, good customer service, low price
Cons: Sound output is poor, can't update firmware, refurb quality seems low
The Bottom Line: At this point, I wouldn't recommended rolling the dice on a refurbished Westinghouse, but I would probably recommend a brand new one (and a warranty extension if reasonably priced).

I bought this television as a refurbished product from Onsale.com for $400 (a great price for this particular set). Once I tuned the settings a little, it produced a very nice picture for the price (on par with the higher mid-grade sets). Unfortunately, it encountered catastrophic failure around the month and a half mark (vertical lines all across the screen, and messed up colors/contrast), so it went back to Westinghouse. The RMA process has been fairly pleasant so far - everyone I speak with at Westinghouse seems genuinely sorry that it broke, and are helpful and friendly. It's been back at Westinghouse for over three weeks though, so I'm not sure what the specific hold-up is in either repairing or replacing the unit (I finally followed up with a call today, but they could only file an inquiry since it was Saturday - I have to call back Monday to get the results of the inquiry).
Pros:
PIP (mine had the original firmware that allowed this feature).
Very nice picture when tuned properly (check AVSForums for help in that area).
Helpful and friendly customer service
Cons:
Sound is a problem - analog audio out signal is too low for comfort (you have to turn the volume way, way up on the TV to boost the analog audio out, and hope that the built-in speakers don't kick back on), and there's no optical out. There is an SPDIF audio out that works however, but doesn't appear to output sound from any analog input sources directly brought into the TV.
Firmware is not upgradable.
I'm wary of the overall quality of their refurbishment process - six weeks before failure gives me a low confidence when the refurbished warranty is only 90 days.
