| lydia667's Full Review: Westinghouse Electric LTV-32w6 HD 32 in. TV |
We bough this TV to replace our standard 32 TV. We wanted a nice upgrade and after doing a lot of online research we figured this would be the best choice for us and we were right!
The clarity is amazing! We do not have cable or satellite service and the HD channels come in just as clear as pay TV and we get extra channels which was a great bonus for us. I like the fact that the LCD screen has no glare to it. Our DVDs are super clear and crisp.
This TV stretches regular channels to fit the screen but this is really not noticeable and there is a button where you can toggle between the settings.
Also the remote has 3 favorites buttons so 3 different people can have their own favorite channels to scroll through and the TV provides program information for what you are watching and what comes up next on that channel. I know these features wont really matter if you have pay TV service but if you dont they sure are nice features!
The buttons on the TV it self are discreetly placed on the side and easy to use but not noticeable.
This is a light weight TV and easy to hook up.
We cannot get the TV sound to go through our stereo system to get surround. I am not sure if we are doing something wrong in the connection or the HDTV just isnt compatible with our stereo system.
The TV has frozen up on us and when I called customer service they were very helpful and explained that when the HD channels dont have a strong signal it can sort of trip the TV and cause it to freeze, This is due to us not having pay service. I have found that the signal strength must be no more than 2 bars below full strength or the channels will start to skip and the TV may freeze. They assured me thought that this will have not damaging effect on the TV it self, we do have to cut the power to get it working. When the HD channels are not clear it is similar to when a DVD skips, it will get like digital blocks through the channel.
