From a UM1 user perspective, the bass seems so much more in terms of quantity and depth. However, the treble seems to have disappeared a little, but its still alright. The superbly rich mids makes listening not fatiguing.
With the shure rubber tips, I could feel some shrills, but when I used it with custom moulds (UM56), the shrills were gone, the bass tightens up a lot more and sound stage is superb.

Would definitely recommend this pair to anyone who travels in a noisy environment.
