Finally an American machine you can do Dry Cleaning in!

Your here reading this because, one your curious, or two your doing your own personal research and trying to jusitfy paying out 1200 bucks for this unit. Im here to help give you reasons why you should consider the Duet.
First off, everyone keeps saying this is new techinology. It isn't...well new to America maybe, but Front loaders have been around forever, especially in Europe. For an american made machine its not bad. However if your doing reasearch and run across the name Meile, then your comparing a Viper to a SUV.
You've heard already how it saves you water, energy etc so I won't bore you with these details. I will go a littled deeper.
First, the 9200 has a heater that heats the water to about 153 degrees F. While by most Euro standards this might be a tad on the weak side,(some of theirs heat to 190-205 F) for most of us Americans this is great. Now what is the benifit of a heater. One it sanitizes..thats the first thing most will tell you. Now Americans are in love with bleach, in truth, if you had one of the machines that heat the water to near boiling (190-205F) then trust me, you wouldn't need bleach. Euro machines dont even have a place for bleach because it is not needed. You have never seen a pair of dirt tube soaks come white until you've used a Euro machine. At any rate, this is what Whirlpool is trying to bring the American public. Top loaders destroy your clothing and plain just do not clean. Half the reason you end up with holes in the knees of your jeans isn't because you were rolling in the grass on your knees, but its because there is embedded dirt trapped in the fibers that your top loader cannot remove.
Now reasons to buy the Duet. Its larger, you can fit 22 pounds of clothing, and take my word that is alot of clothes.
It has a heater, again on the weak side but 130 F is hot enough to kill dust mites, so 150 will do nicely for killing gems in your underwear and bed clothing.
Its gentle. I washed my husbands suit in it. Honestly. I also work in an office and I haven't been to the dry cleaners since buying the front loader. No more pulling out clothes that have twisted and turned to where they have lost their shape. Most tell you ..you save money, energy..but heck, im here to tell you... you save your clothes as well.
There is just no better way to clean. The first time you use this, go ahead and put your dirty clothes in without adding soap..you'll be surprised at how much soap your top loader left in the fabric.
It spins faster.. 1100 RPMs..Versus a top loader average of 475-600 RPMs. Twice as fast, means twice as much water being spun out of your clothing = half the drying time = saving energy = saving money.
Do I like the Duet. Love them, finally America is starting to get decent laundry products. If I could have either the Duet or the Miele for Free..id take the Miele, there again is no comparing the two..the Miele is in a class by itself.
Should you put down 1200 for this machine?
If you don't mind wearing clothes that look clean but in truth are still dirty, then stay with a nice new top loader. If you wish all the benefits that I have described for you..then by all means.
