tryggswife's Full Review: Whirlpool WFW8400TB Front Load Washer
It's only been about one day, but we're happy with it so far. The installation was easy, the manual clear and easy to understand. The washing operation is silent, except for when it's going to go into spin, then some vibration that stops when it's up to speed (and it's FAST). We have it on a home-made platform of pressure-treated wood and 3/4" plywood. Based on other reviews I've read, it might still vibrate). The clothes come out great, clean and smelling great. I honestly expected them to be virtually dry based on the speed the drum spins (it's unbelievably fast), but they come about about the same as my 10-year old top loader. Love the extra hot feature on the sanitary setting! Cycle times seem pretty long for white whites and sanitary, but worth it I'm sure. It's unbelievable how little water is sloshing around. There seems to be enough to saturate the clothes and then a couple gallons for sloshing. Much less water being used that my top loader. Holds a lot of clothes and does a good job and very quiet is what I know so far. My laundry is done and I can't wait to do some more :) Off to strip the bed linens!
