kaycbbear's Full Review: Whirlpool WFW8400TB Front Load Washer
We purchased our WFW8400 from Nebraska Furniture Mart last Febrary and have had on going problems. The machine vibrates and walks out of its spot if we use any other spin cycle but low (defeats the purpose of being able to spin the clothes dry to reduce drying time and cost), we also had an F31 error (electrical problem). We called NFM and they told us to call Whirlpool which we did. They sent A&E Service to repair the unit and they replaced the soap dispensing unit and told us the vibrating was normal. (the maching has been checked for level I don't know how many times) Over the following months we called Whirlpool various times about the vibrating(it is so bad the dishes rattle in the kitchen) they would send out A&E and the technicians would use some lame excuse about the vibration. We also had the soap dispensing unit replaced again. We finally had Whirlpool give us the name of a local repair company to use. After calling Whirlpool the new repair company said the problem was a bad boot (don't know what they mean)the part is on back order. In the mean time the unit has now started making a clacking sound when the spin cycle starts and stops(think about having a buckle in your machine thats the sound) I finally called Whirlpool again and they are replacing the unit only because the part is on back order. I would not recommend this unit or take out a service contract with A&E
