drobert60's Full Review: Whirlpool WTW5300SQ / WTW5300SWH Top Load Washer
I purchased this washer several years ago when my previous dryer gave out. I decided to get a set at BestBuy. This was on sale at the time for $325.00.
What can I say, this machine washes clothes. It has done so since 2006. We do a lot of laundry--one load a day. Therefore, I would say that it is durable.
If you are looking for all kinds of bells and whistles on your washer, this is not the machine for you. For the price, you can guess, this is a plain vanilla washer.
It is large enough to put in two small blankets or one queen-sized comforter. And like any other washer, if you overload it, it will make lots of noise till you balance the load.
Beside three load sizes, there are four temperature settings, Hot, Warm, Cool and Cold. There are also rinse options: Extra Rinse, which provides a second rinse, Cycle Signal, which will alert you with a sound that your cycle ended and Extra Rinse & Cycle Signal which will have both.
I am a plain-Jane kind of person; I just want things to work without all of the bells and whistles. If you want all the bells and whistles and feel better about spending lots of money on a washer that may not last as long, then this is not for you.
