Really... (Reply to this comment)

After reading your review I'm having an awfully hard time getting a mental picture of this film (and I've seen the film myself). A lot of times you jump from saying what the film is about to instead refuting points (in concept) made in the film. At other times you are simply refuting side issues (or the issue as a whole) that weren't even covered in the film. I dig the information that you've got but it does feel a bit more like an essay riffing off of the film than a proper film review.

Nice review, but hybrid comments unwarranted (Reply to this comment)

The reviewer writes a nice review, and includes some info missing from the movie. The only point I would take issue with is his comments on how cheap hybrids are and how dealer service departments will love working on them.

Even casual research on the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight will reveal two things: first, the massive innovation and new technology they employ; second, the low maintenance. All you need are oil changes for the life of the car (about 180k miles). The Prius doesn't event need the timing belt replacement at 90k that most other cars do.

In fact, one theory about why GM and others don't want EV's to succeed is they require so much less maintenance than internal combustion models. They don't even need the oil changes.

hey there again Reuben...

you said...
"I was just happy to see that you read the review and took an interest in the topic."

Actually, I have already been 'piqued' by the other reviews of this one. Your review certainly did nothing to change that interest.

"You are now challenged to show everyone in Epinions what a review of WKTEC should be. Even better, the review will be at the top of the pile. :)"

Ahh, but you see, that is the beauty of Epinions. If many have already reviewed the product than, theoretically, the 'better' reviews float to the top. Which is the point of my rate and that of perhaps another hundred readers/raters on the seven reviews of this film so far.

Believe me, I have not delusions that my own review would be near the top of the pile.

Hey, I love the way you responded here. Nice reaction to a . . .'challenging' comment. Behavior like that is noted and remembered by everyone on the site.

Very nicely done.

...in that this was very difficult to read, as hard as you worked on it. It really was more of a stream-of-consciousness polemic than a review of a movie, as well-intentioned and full of info as it is. Hence the H instead of the VH.

Best, nick

Just a quick comment to 'set' my rate.

Certainly nothing wrong or missing from your review. Indeed ...perhaps there is too much.

This is a product, this film, that I have made a point of reading and rating all the reviews. Your review is just not one that I want to see sitting at the top of the pile. So I rated it 'only helpful'. ( Though some will say that even that benefits a writer more than simply not rating at all. Whatever. My trust may be hidden and my blocks may be hidden but I rarely 'hide' a rate by skipping that challenge. )

Anyway, much of this content would be great in a Writer's Corner essay. The links between that 'VH' essay and the reviews of this film and the book you earlier published would make a strong and influential combination for you on the subject at hand.

OK, not such a quick comment ...sorry..!!
