Pros: As good as Nike, WSI and Under Armour at a third of the price.
Cons: No fancy logo (is that really a bad thing?)
The Bottom Line: Save the money you were spending on Underarmour socks and buy four rolls of tape with your next pair of socks.

| puckmugger's Full Review: Wigwam Dry Foot Liner Socks F2152 |
Wigwams footliners are actually a skiing sock by design, made in Colorado where they might know something about such things. Despite what intentions Wigwam might have had for them, they make a great hockey sock as well. This is a perfect liner style sock that is about the same thickness as a mens dress sock.
The advice that most of our mothers told us about footwear for skiing and hockey was wrong, a thing sock is the best thing that you can wear. A thick sock actually creates more room for your foot to move around in a ski or hockey boot. The tighter the boot fits, the higher level of performance you can expect, that much seems obvious. However, the part that isnt quite as obvious is that a good tight fit will actually lower the chances of getting blisters and even bone spurs. For both of these issues to manifest themselves upon your feet, there needs to be room for some movement and recurring friction. Serious hockey and figure skaters often go barefoot inside their skates.
Cotton socks tend to soak up a great deal of perspiration, bunch up. Cotton is generally not very comfortable for either sport. Wigwams footliners are a polyester similar to the high tech materials used in higher priced performance socks made by companies such as WSI and Under Armour. While the Wigwam footliners somehow dont seem as space age as Under Armours socks or Nikes Dry-fit socks, they are about one third of the price and do a very comparable job.
I find that the Wigwam footliners work very well for me, keeping my feet dry and comfortable. They fit nicely and never bunch up like cotton. I guess Im a little old fashioned, since it took me a long time to latch on to any of the newer performance under gear like Under Armour. But having tried a few more expensive brands, the Wigwams are as good as anything out there. Unless you are really attached to the Nike or Under Armour logo, a twenty dollar pair of socks just doesnt make much sense. Wigwams footliners are just as good for five bucks a pair. I highly recommend them.
