BrownBelt's Full Review: NFL Blitz for PlayStation 1
The first time I played NFL Blitz, I knew I was going to buy it. That was almost two years ago, and I still play it to this day.
I'm an Nebraska fan, but I still love this game! There aren't any penalties, and there's an endless number of codes to put in, such as snow, rain, stepping out of bounds, infinite turbo (go fast all the time), and big head team. All make the game more funny and exciting.
There are several different options at the opening screens. They include Arcade Game (one game), New Season, Load Season, and so on. If you choose season and do well enough (rating of 90.0 or above) you get to join the players and cheerleaders in the locker room after the Super Bowl.
You have the option of making the quarters different lengths in any game. You can choose from 1, 2, 4, or 8 minutes. Also, you can get tips at the end of each quarter, half-time stats, and more stats when the games is over. If you want your team to look like a certain person, just enter the code when it asks you before the game. You can even make it look like Raiden from Mortal Kombat!
You can choose from many offensive or defensive plays, such as Hail Mary, Up The Gut, Block Field Goal, Fake Punt, etc. to make your game even better.
In a nutshell, NFL Blitz is a game that any sports fan will love. Great graphics, funny commentary, everything you could ever want!
