k00l5h0w2k3's Full Review: NHL Hitz 2002 for PlayStation 2
I'll start off by saying, I am definatly NOT a sports fan. Sure, I'm always up for a game of Madden 2002, NFL Blitz any good sports game, but I just can't stand to watch this stuff on TV. Hockey especially. This game on the other hand, totally blew me away! I semi-enjoyed EA's NHL Rock The Rink a while back, but I quickly became bored after 2 or 3 weeks with it. Not so with Hitz! If you bring this game out at a party, there will probaly be a crowd forming to see who plays next. And although I don't condone it, this game is even better when you and your friends have some beer handy. The game is'nt perfect however: the graphics, while quite good, don't truly show off the potential of the Gamecube. And there is some slowdown. Although it doesn't happen that often, you'll notice it. And it is too hard building up your custom team's attribute points. And the announcer is the same one from NFL Blitz and NBA Hoopz. The control will only take 5 minutes of your life to learn. And the extra stuff you can buy in the "Hockey Shop" sure adds to the replay value. I must warn though, if you live alone, you might not enjoy this game as much.
