| aussie21's Full Review: Wilson A2000 Series |
Hi all, i just bought a 11.25 wilson a2000 all glove. ive had it for a couple of weeks and it is already pretty much broken in. The leather is really high quality. The lacing is thick and looks very durable. I live in australia and it is harder to get baseball gear hear as we only have a couple of specialised baseball/softball companies. I was choosing from a $250us nokona, a rawlings gold glove and a mizuno classic pro. From what ive read from other reviews on epinons, wilson a2000's last a long time. The glove is almost game ready but you might want to oil it a couple of times and wrap it rubber bands to form a shape. The glove has a great pocket, not to big, not to small. The 11.25 pattern is great for middle inielders like short-stops and 2nd baseman.
Overall the feel of this glove is awesome, once you get it makes you wanna play more ball i only took ground balls and feilding practice at training for the 3rd time and it feels great. Almost every time you play catch with some one, the ball makes that popping sound that you hear in the major league games.
The a2000 line was created in 1957 by Wilsons top glove makes and Major league baseball players. The a2000 is a endless classic.
If your willing to fork out about $200. Its a better alternative to more expensive gloves which i think is better quality than like rawlings pro prefs and mizuno pro limiteds.
