what do i look for in a baseball mitt? one thing: catchiness. hah, get it?
ok. never mind.
so, seriously. as a young girl i played SOFTball with my father. in the back yard. you know. it's the thing to do for young girls and their fathers who happen to both (not divorced, or at least some sort of joint custody arrangement) live on long island. accessible by l.i.r.r., you know.

but to get to the meatiness of this review, and that's what this is, a review, to get to the meat i need to talk about the catchiness of this wonderful mitt. you should know, for your records perhaps, or just to know (because some people like to just know), that i was once a revered SOFTball player. a pro, not quite, but quite skilled nonetheless. all island, all state, all the way. so i know what i am talking about, i know mitts, i know catching.
this mitt is catchy. not in the way that those obnoxious television jingles are catchy, this mitt is catchy in the balls-stick-to-it sense of the word. a simple piece of leather-- well, to be more accurate, a complex many pieces of leather all tied together by more leather-- this mitt protects your hand from hard hits, sticks to the ball better than the stickiest of web content, and, as the kiddies say, 'keep[s] it real'.
this is not something to take lightly. this mitt takes comMITTment.
