Pros: Very inexpensive and great tackification
Cons: Tackiness rubs away but stickiness doesn't
The Bottom Line: I don't see how you could get a better ball and pay less. This won't work for kids (size), but perfect for adults.

| wangarific's Full Review: Wilson Ultra Composite Official Football - TSA SMU... |
I'm not an NFL football player and I do live on a budget, so the Wilson Ultra Composite is the perfect football for me because for a mere $20, it can be mine. If you know Wilson, you know they make those great tacky basketballs (sometimes too tackified). Well, in basketball the grip is nice but not "normal," but in football, well, the tackified makes it easier to catch and easier to throw, both are pluses.
What Do I Like?
Inexpensive, so you don't feel bad throwing it on the blacktop or in the mud, it's only $20 and it'll last. Even if you scuff it up, that's alright, the ball is still playable (rugged!) and you only scuff up $20, not something much more expensive.
Tackified means it's sticky so it's easier to toss and catch, this makes it a lot more fun because you can throw farther and you can catch harder, tougher throws. Overall, that'll improve your game and improve your enjoyment of the game tremendously. Some of the other non-tacky balls will required you to get gloves (a little too much) or make it so much harder to catch in the snow or rain. With this ball, play with the same level of enjoyment in all climates (the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving day!).
What I Don't Like?
Well, while it's rugged, after you throw it a few hundred times you can see where your thumb rubs away the tackification. It's still sticky, but you can see it's been rubbed away. It's mostly a cosmetic thing but that's the only downside I can see with the ball.
