| mszatny's Full Review: Wilson eXtreme 3 |
For the past couple of years I have worn Prince Precision II (1.5) shoes (about 3 pairs per year). However, this time I could not find them anywhere. So I figured I would give another shoe a try...specifically the Pro Staff Extreme 3 (1.5).
Much like the Prince shoe, the Wilson was a mid (1.5) height shoe with a durable looking toe area. On the outside, it is a better looking shoe than the Prince and even provided more foot support than the Prince. So I guess the Wilson is a better shoe than the Price?? Not quite!
The first hour or so in the Wilson shoe was fine, but soon afterward, my feet began to overheat. The shoes became unbelievable suffocating for my feet. I often wore my Prince shoes with double socks and I NEVER felt so suffocated (even in 100 F Houston weather). I am not quite sure why the shoe ventilation is so poor. They seem to be ventilated similar to any other shoe. Perhaps it is the quality of the leather itself.
