In October of last year, I was scouting out the houseware department in Marshalls store like I always do, and I came across a super buy. I found this Wilton Advance Air flow Nonstick Air-Flow Cookie Sheet with Handles. The reason that I purchased it was because I liked the idea of a cookie sheet with handles. I already have a Wilton brownie pan with handles, and a Muffin pan with handles. These pans have made my baking a lot more easier and enjoyable. I have tendonitis in my left hand and have to wear a wrist brace. So this Wilton Cookie Sheet with handles was just another great piece of bakeware to add to my growing bakeware pans with handles. Although I do have a large Calphalon Cookie sheet, but it's too hard for me to take in and out of the oven. Anyway this is why I purchased 2 of these Wilton Cookie sheets at $11.99 each.

Features of the Wilton Cookie Sheet
Size---The size of the cookie sheet surface measures 10 inches in width by 14 inches long.
The overall length of the pan from handle to handle is 17 inches long.
Construction---The Cookie sheet is made of a strong heavy aluminum core construction which is good for even heating. All sides of the cookie sheet has a rolled edging which extends up about 1/4 inch. This allows the cookies to bake quickly and evenly.
Handles---The handles are made of a heavy gauge steel, which are slightly bowed and are 10 inches long. They extend the whole width of each end of the cookie sheet. This gives me lots of room to be able to grab onto the handle when putting the cookie sheet in the oven, or taking it out of the oven with my oven mitts.
Surface of the cookie sheet---The surface of the cookie sheet has a nice non stick surface which makes it easy to release any cookies or other baked goodies.
I have noticed that after using the Wilton Cookie sheet, that I had to lower my oven temperature when baking cookies sometimes by 25 degrees. Because of the non stick surface it always seemed to brown my cookies more quickly. So by lowering the temperature my cookies always turn out fine.
To Grease or Not to grease.
Being the Wilton Cookie Sheet is nonstick, it really isn't necessary to grease it. Grease the cookie sheet only if a recipe calls for it, by using a light covering of a cooking spray. And never use butter, or margarine, this could cause your cookies to burn.
The Wilton Cookie Sheet lets you skip the greasing step. However I've noticed that some cookie dough may not spread as much, resulting in thicker, more cakelike cookies, which is fine with me, as I don't care much for crispy cookies anyway.
What about using Parchment Paper.
From time to time I will use Parchment paper to line my Wilton Cookie sheet. It really isn't necessary to use parchment paper. But I like to and occasionally do. I guess I'm getting a little lazy. By using Parchment paper on my cookie sheet, it saves me time and energy. These Parchment papers make my clean-up a lot quicker and easier. After I've finished baking my cookies, all I have to do is throw away the Parchment paper and rinse the cookie sheet out in water and then dry it, and my clean-up is all done.
These baking Parchment papers are water resistant and are oven safe up to 400 degrees. They can be found in most grocery store along side the aluminum foil and plastic wraps and usually come in a roll. I think the last roll I purchased cost me $2.99.
Use and Care.
Before using the Wilton Cookie sheet for the first time I washed it out in hot soapy water. I always wash it out after each use, unless I use parchment paper then I only have to rinse the cookie sheet off in water. Wilton only recommends hand washing of these cookie sheets.
To avoid scratches on the cookie sheet, it's best not to use any abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils. By using Parchment paper for lining my Wilton Cookie Sheet for baking my cookies, I find it isn't necessary to use any kind of a utensil to remove my cookies, because the Parchment paper lets the cookies slide right off onto my cooling rack. This also helps to keep the cookie sheet cleaner. This has kept my Wilton Cookie Sheet looking just as nice as the day I purchased it. And if you check my Wilton Cookie Sheet you will never find any scratches on it either.
The Wilton Cookie Sheet comes with a 5 year warranty. It will not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence or abuse. Being the Wilton Cookie Sheet is not designed to be used with metal utensils, it will not cover scratches either.
A few tips for making perfect cookies.
Always make sure that the Wilton Cookie Sheet is cool or at room temperature when placing cookie dough on it. Otherwise the dough will start to melt, adversely affecting the cookies shape and texture. It will keep unbaked cookies from melting and thinning out at the edges before they can be set by the heat of the oven. This is why I purchased 2 of the Wilton Cookie Sheets. While one is in the oven baking, I can start getting the second cookie sheet ready to be put in my oven as soon as the first sheet has finished baking. This way I don't have to wait for the sheet to cool down to finish baking the cookies.
Avoid placing one cookie sheet above another in the oven, because this will cause uneven baking of your cookies. This is why it's best to bake only one sheet of cookies at a time, and always place the cookie sheet in the center of the oven.
Remove baked cookies immediately from the cookie sheet, unless the recipe tells you differently. Otherwise if left on the cookie sheet too long they will only continue to bake.
A few other uses for the Wilton Cookie Sheet besides baking cookies.
Making Christmas breads
Biscuits and rolls
Heating up Appetizers and Taco shells
Am I happy with the performance of this Wilton Cookie Sheet?
I love this Wilton Cookie Sheet. The overall performance of this cookie sheet is excellent. Don't let the smaller size of this Wilton Cookie Sheet fool you. It offers the same strength durability and reliability as other Cookie Sheets. It stores easily and cleans up quickly. Since the Wilton Cookie Sheet is just the right thickness it doesn't warp when it heats up (you know that "Twang" that comes about 3 minutes after you put the sheet in the oven.) A warped cookie sheet can ruin a batch of cookies. Well I don't hear that sound anymore since I have my 2 Wilton Cookie Sheets.
These 2 Wilton Cookie Sheets were a good investment for me, because of the Tendonitis in my wrist, the handles on these Wilton Cookie Sheets makes the cookie sheet so much more comfortable to retrieve from my oven. So if you have wrist or hand problems this may be just the cookie sheet for you. Because of the Handles on this Wilton cookie sheet, I'm now able to make lots of cookies for my family again.
Thanks for reading and Happy Valentines Day to everyone.
