Pros: Good Price, Looks good, does cook the rice nicely - generally.
Cons: Has a crust on finished rice.
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you don't mind crust on the rice.

| fetu's Full Review: Wolfgang Puck BDRC0010 10-Cup Rice Cooker |
I purchased this rice cooker over a month ago, from The Shopping Channel (Canada).
The price is good, $40, using it is very simple, you put in the rice, the water, push a bar to put it in 'cook' mode and voila, about 20 minutes later it switches itself to 'warm' mode and you have nicely cooked rice!
Unfortunately, there is a downside. First of all, it's not as easy to clean as the Shopping Channel would have you believe. While all the parts that can be removed (non-stick liner, steamer basket, condensation cup) are dishwasher safe, the actual unit (the rims, the top, around the rubber/plastic seals etc) also require cleaning each time.
So far not bad. However, here is the thing that I don't like. Every time I make rice in this unit, it cooks with a crust (around the outside). Unless I grab the rice within minutes of it being done - it has a crust around the edge. It comes with a cook book (not that you need it to make rice...but) I have read it just in case I'm missing something - I have tried using the exact amount of water they state, I've tried less and more - same result. Other than that I quite like it but don't know if I would buy it again based on that one problem.
I have tried making macaroni and tapioca in it - macaroni was ok, tapioca (they didn't suggest it) bad idea (overflowed and ran all over the counter :)
