I have been playing WoW for about 6 months now, after having bought this game for my sons, ages 16 and 13, to play. I decided I wanted to see what they were getting into and make sure it was not full of creeps .
I have to point out that I'm normally not the video game kind. I can't usually stand them. But I wanted to try out WoW anyhow. I made my first charachter and started to play.
I found the navigation and game itself easy enough to enjoy, but challenging enough to keep people interested. It's easy to make friends and become part of a guild (a group of friends that hang out and play together). I was lucky enough to meet the guild members I met. They helped me level and I eventually took over the guild.
You can set filters so that any cursing or adult language is filtered out, which is great for kids. You can also turn general chat on and off, and find many great add-ons to make playing and doing "quests" (game objectives) a breeze.
The only downfalls of the game are the occassional bug, which is fixed by a blizzard game master, and the monthly fee that you have to pay to play. Other than that, it's a great game and I will keep playing for as long as it's out!
