A Good Litter, Just Not For Us
Written: May 19 '01
Pros:Clumping, flushable, no dust
Cons:Price, hard to find, tracks
The Bottom Line: If you have the time to find it and the money for it, it's worth giving it a try. Every cat and person are different.
When we bought our Maine Coon kitten, the breeder highly recommended using The World's Best Cat Litter. We decided to follow her recommendations but it proved to be a little more difficult than we thought. The only place close to us that sells the litter is a small town about 30-40 minutes away. We were going on vacation so I decided to look up locations close to our destination. I had a little better luck since it was a large city. When we got to the store, we ended up paying over $20 for a bag of it. Was it worth it?
I guess that depends on you and your cat. It is a clumping, flushable cat litter, which is really nice and convenient. It doesn't turn to a yucky clay mess when it clumps either, which is good. You do have to watch how much you flush at one time though (found that out the hard way).
For us, it didn't hide the odor at all, which really probably has more to do with our cat who doesn't like to cover his poop.
The one thing I hated about this litter though was it tracked all over our bathroom floor (which is where our litter box is). I had to clean the floor on a daily basis.
Personally, for us, we have decided not to use World's Best Cat Litter. We have gone with PaPurr Scoop instead, which tracks a lot less and helps a little better with the odor.
