I have owned many knives in my 36 years of marriage to the same fellow. Some knives come and go and some are tossed for bad performance. I purchased one WMF knife in Florida when I was staying in a condo. The reason I purchased it was the knives were terrible and hard to slice vegetables and fruits.

I tried a small knife and I just fell in love with it. I have a bread machine and the hardest thing to do with the bread machine is slice bread in uniform pieces. I purchased a WMF and the knife just glides thru the bread and makes nice uniform slices.

One of the larger knifes cuts ham very thin and efficiently. I use these knives everyday for one project or another. I purchased the steak knives but we do not eat as much steak as we did when we were first married because of the fat and other problems.

If you really like to cook I think these knives are a wonderful tool in any household. I would buy them for a wedding gift or if you visit someone and they need new knives like I did.
