Pros:Great replicas of real skateboards, only miniature!
Cons:Not good for when doing homework...Trust me, you'll get distracted!
The Bottom Line: If you want an entertaining toy that are replicas of real skateboards, you should get this!

When I got into skateboarding, I knew that I was obsessed. I had to buy everything associated with skateboarding, or I would go insane. Well, as I came across these very attracting mini-skateboards that some call "fingerboards", I just had to buy a few of these. They were only a few dollars, and they were definitely worth it!

What really caught my attention about these "fingerboards" was that they had graphics on them that I had previously seen on a real skateboard. These Tech Deck fingerboards couldn't have gotten any better, and I spent a large amount of my time playing with them. Although the picture of the 6 pack is showing World Industries fingerboards, I bought the fingerboards with the Blind graphics. As far as fingerboards go, graphics don't really get scratched up as a normal skateboard's graphics do, so in this case, I guess graphics do matter!

Another thing that astounded me was that these fingerboards have all of the same parts that an actual skateboard does! The grip tape on the top of the hard plastic deck has a logo printed in white that says, "Tech Deck". You can do various tricks on fingerboards that you could on skateboards, but on fingerboards, you can take these tricks to new heights (literally)! In most cases, people use both their index and middle finger to maneuver the fingerboard, but you can use three fingers if you want to.

The wheels are made of plastic, and these fingerboard sets come with a few extra sets of wheels, risers, hardware, and a tool that you can use to adjust the looseness/tightness of the trucks or wheels. There are also some miniature sticker sheets that come with all of this stuff. A really cool feature of the fingerboard is that you can buy little halfpipes and pyramid ramps to perform tricks on! Some people only collect fingerboards, but most people attempt to do stunning stunts that aren't even possible to do on a skateboard. It may seem impossible at first to do simple tricks on these fingerboards at first, such as an ollie, but remember that it is almost like a skateboard...Practice practice practice!

One bad thing about these fingerboards though (only if you do tricks on them) is that the bushings that are supposed to cushion your landing when you do tricks are very weak. Luckily, this 6 pack comes with an extra set of bushings, so you can replace them if they do perhaps break. I recommend keeping extra parts in something like a shoe box, and you can even fingerboard on the shoe box itself! In fact, you can make your own ramps for fingerboarding out of something simple such as notebooks or cardboard instead of buying ramps. Once you get hooked on tricking off of different things in your house, it will be hard to quit, and make sure you don't mess up your mother's table boardsliding on it and leaving behind a streak of color from the graphics.

As I began to really wonder if these "fingerboards" were worth it, my answer was simple. After all of the constant fun I had modifying real skateboarding tricks into a fingerboard that I ride on with my fingertips, I couldn't help but end up to buy a lot more of these packages. It's definitely worth it, and if you have a severe interest in anything that has to do with skateboarding, you should check these out today at your local toy store!
