Pros: Great sound. Good price.
Cons: I guess a better understanding of the different surround sound modes.
The Bottom Line: Don't spend too much for your sound sound receiver. This one will compete with the best and save you money.

Great value for the money. I purchased this receiver as the heart of my surround sound system. I have no major complaints. I'm not the SERIOUS sound techie type, but do expect the most from my buck. You don't need to spend a lot for your surround sound. This receiver is proof. I've not been disappointed in the sound and all my friends have been impressed with the quality. It is well worth the money.
The only negative would be the understanding all the different listening modes. There are a number of different modes you can choose to listen to. Each mode provides a different sound. They are all great and definitely look impressive to others. I just wish they would have made the documentation a little more clear as to when you would recommend one sound over another.
