The piano I own has superb tone! I am a professional musician. I have a degree in piano pedagogy and in music performance and I have loved this piano. The tone is rich and yet has a bright tone as well.
It is easy to play, the keys have good response and are not stiff. I bought it used 6 years ago from another piano teacher, so I knew that it was in great shape. I have a black matte/semi - gloss finish on mine. It is an attractive instrument and has a large sound for being an upright.
I also teach lessons on this instrument and the kids enjoy playing on it because of it's "big sound."
The sound board and pins are in great shape!
The piano has held it's tuning really well. I have it tuned 2 times a year by a qualified piano technician.
I recommend this piano and it's finish for the serious student or a home without kids! I have a little girl and her fingerprints are all over it. So in that regard it is a little tricky to keep clean and nice. Although mine is in beautiful condition
