One of the things that I fell in love with when I visited the model unit for our townhouse was the spacious soaker tub in the master bathroom. When we were in the building stage, I even opted for Jacuzzi jets. I envisioned hours of soaking in my large tub.
Well, seven years later, that large tub comes in handy for bathing my three girls. All three of them can fit in there with plenty of room to wiggle around. It’s great that they aren’t cramped like sardines, but they can get rowdy in the tub and splash. Also, my daughter Alligator can be a reluctant bather.
My husband brought home the Yo Gabba Gabba bath toys for the girls as a surprise one day. All three of them enjoy watching Yo Gabba Gabba. This is a crazy psychedelic children’s television show that reminds me of HR Pufnstuf or the Banana Splits. The show involves four monsters and a robot learning preschool skills like safety, friendship, and sharing.
This bath set comes with 21 pieces in a plastic bag.
The pieces include the 5 members of the Gabba gang- Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex, and Toodee.
There are also seven animals: blue bird, ladybug, pink bird, butterfly, mole, gecko, and hipster snake. Hipster snake has cool black frame glasses.
There are also nine pieces of scenery: tree, sun, cloud, iceberg, hill, flowers, rock, radio, and stump. Our stump has gone missing, but the other pieces are all these. These scenery pieces look just like the backgrounds on the show.
These durable foam pieces will stick to the sides of the tub, allowing my girls to create their own scenes. Sometimes, they will just hold up the pieces and create their own Yo Gabba Gabba improv scenes.
The foam pieces are made up of two pieces of foam stuck together. The picture is printed on a white piece of foam, and backed up with a second. The pieces are very durable, and we have not had any problem with the pieces peeling or falling apart. We’ve had this set for close to a year, and it gets used during most bath times.
The bag that the pieces come in can be used as a storage bag. It even has holes in the bottom so that water cannot remain in the bag as the pieces are being loaded into it during clean-up time. This keeps the pieces fresh, and allows for air circulation to prevent the pieces from remaining damp and getting mildewed. I also give the pieces their own bath every now and then with a sink full of water and a cap full of bleach to keep them clean.
This set is not recommended for children under three. This is due to the possibility of a choking hazard if a child was chewed on the pieces and the foam came loose. My twins didn’t turn three until June, and they’ve been fine with this, especially since children aren’t supposed to be unsupervised in the bath under any circumstances. Regardless, I would strongly urge to use caution if using this toy with a child under the age of three.
If you have a Yo Gabba Gabba fan, I would absolutely recommend this Yo Gabba Gabba Bath Time Fun Set. This collection of foam figures and pieces makes bath time very fun and exciting for my girls.
