Pros: Quiet! Performance better than other comparably-priced tires.
Cons: Rather unusual decorative pattern on the sidewall
The Bottom Line: A great buy (so far) for non-towing use in a mid-size SUV.

| preedy's Full Review: Yokohama Geolandar H/T Truck/SUV Tire |
I have only 700 miles on a new set of Geolander H/T-S G051 tires, so these are initial impressions only. These tires replaced a set of OEM Bridgestone Dueler 684's on a Honda Pilot. The Duelers functioned ok, but were very noisy and not very comfortable. The first thing I noticed was that the Geo's are quiet, much more so than the Dueler's. Now I don't have to keep the radio on to drown out tire noise! The Geo's also seem to be slightly more comfortable as well. So far, no problems with traction/hydroplane in wet or dry conditions. Handling is improved as well. Not to F1 standards of course, but it is noticeable.
A few years ago I put a set of Michelin LTX's on a Tahoe (a POS if there ever was one...), and those tires turned out to be the best tires I had ever purchased. My impressions of the Geo's are that they seem to be the equal of the LTX's, for a price one-third less. I had planned to buy the LTX's, but now I'm glad that I decided to try the Geo's instead. As long as the Geo's provide decent tread life, I doubt that I will go back to the Michelins. I'll report back again once I have accumulated 30 or 40k miles -- hopefully my opinions will be just as good....
