Great Tire

Pros: Price-Quiet Drive-Handling-Even Tread Wear.
Cons: They pick up small rocks.

My Wife and I recently bought a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The Good Year GS-A tires that were on it were worn out and rightly so since they had about 52,000 miles on them. I told the dealership that if they wanted to put new tires on the jeep then I wouldn't have a problem. They put the Yokohama Geolander HT/S tire on it. Our Jeep had 52,000 miles on it when we bought it and now it has 67,000. So now the tires have just over 15,000 miles on them. They have performed very well on the HWY, dry or wet.(hasn't really snowed that much here) I duck hunt and have taken the jeep offroad through some mud holes and muddy trails. They handled well in 4 wheel drive. However, this is not and offroad tire! If you are looking for a tire that is a great everyday tire for a light truck or suv then this is it. If you do any light offroading such as camping or hunting then this will probably work for you. I realized that these tires were not off road tires and if I go hunting or through muddy conditions I engage my 4 wheel drive.
The tred wear has been good. I do alot of HWY travel and have them rotated every 3-4 thousand miles. Traction has been good as well. The outside edges have a more agressive edge while the inside patern seems more suited for the road. I can tell now upon inspection that they are starting to wear a little bit. I may have to replace them later this year when I have more miles on them. These tires were free to me from the dealership and I have no complaints with them. I believe that they are very affordable also. When I replace them it will probably be with a Yokohama A/T. They do grab small rocks from drive ways and pavement, but other than that it's a great tire.
