Zen ABC is an inovative way of learning the alphabet. Both are incredible art forms. Since the alphabet is our source of written communication, it seems fitting to put learning it together with learning basic principles of Zen. With many ABC books out there, this one is one of the best. Incorporating haiku, koans, and contemporary poems, it is a perfect introduction to the alphabet and to the art of Zen.
For each letter, there is a Zen related word with a beautiful picture of Amy Zerner's collage paintings. There is also a poem to go along with it.
What more can I say than this is a must have book. It is colorful, invigorating, peaceful, and practical. I really enjoy just looking at the picture with so many things happening. I could take it one letter at a time, never mind this being a children's book.

And on it goes with thought provoking poetry and artwork. This book leaves much to be discussed and nothing to be discussed. It really conveys a good message and is a great introduction to Zen for children and adults. I recommend this book to EVERYONE.
Text may be a little much for younger ones, but they will grow with it, and the beauty of the words is enough to keep them interested.
